  • Copy of safety assessment recommendations from the Indonesian Aviation Navigation Service Provider (LPPNI) Denpasar Branch
  • Copy of drone flight permit unit registration from the Directorate of Airworthiness and Aircraft Operations, Ministry of Transportation
  • Stamp IDR 10,000
  • Copy of drone flight permit, pilot's license from the Directorate of Airworthiness and Aircraft Operations, Ministry of Transportation
  • Copy of drone flight permit, accident insurance policy

2. Submit Your Application

The next step is to submit your application when the documents are ready. You can submit the request to Balai Taman Nasional Komodo (Komodo National Park Office) in Labuan Bajo or send an email to them. Make sure to submit it at least three days before you plan to fly the drone. 

3. Pay the Drone Permit Fee

Unfortunately, you cannot get the permit for free. You need to pay a Komodo National Park drone permit fee. 

The fees will be varied, based on:

  • Type of drone
  • Length of stay and filming duration 
  • Whether it's for personal or commercial use

If you're curious about how much a Komodo National Park drone permit is, it usually costs around IDR 1,000,000 – 5,000,000 (USD 65 – USD 325). The management will send you a bill after they review your permit application. 

4. Wait for Approval
