Rinca Island

Rinca  Island is an island which is located in the East Nusa Tenggara, exactly in west of Flores, the island is just separated by Molo strait. Rinca Island stay along with Komodo Island and Padar Island and it is one of the island which managed by the Indonesia Government.

The island is also one of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, as it is a Komodo National Park area along with Komodo Island, Padar Island and Gili Motang.

The highest point of the island is in Doro (Mountain) Ora, 670 m above sea level.

On this island live various types of animals such as komodo dragons, wild pigs, buffalo and birds. Rinca Island can be reached by a small boat from Labuan Bajo in western Flores.

Administratively, this island belongs to Komodo District, West Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province, Indonesia.
